Welcome to Performin' Norman's Home Page!

I am married to a wonderful woman. She is really sweet and treats me very well. Well, sometimes she verbally and physically abuses me.

I live in Lee's Summit, Missouri. I call it God's country. It is a subdivision of the Kansas City Metro area. My favorite things are to fish, play with automobiles, play casual outdoor sports, hang with friends, listen to music, attend productions and the theatre.

I own and operate an insurance office in Independence, MO. It is a career that God has blessed me with and I won't take it for granted. I'm looking to diversify a lot in 2004. If you would like to email me at the office, you can do so at Nmah@amfam.com.If you would like to drop me a personal email, please click here.
Here I am at the office.

God has truly blessed me and I thank Him each and every day for the blessings gives me. I plan on standing at his right hand in the Kingdom of Heaven some day and pray that I am standing amongst those who I brought to Him.
This is my dog, Hotoy. It is Chinese for "Very Lucky". He is the best dog in the world. He was diagnosed as an insulin diabetic in 1999 and we almost lost him. He is fine now and enjoys life with the help of a couple of shots a day. People laugh because when it is time for his dosage, I always say "It is time to shoot the dog". hahaha His breed is Keeshound, pronounced "cazehound" but no one pronounces it correctly.

Here's my Dad and I after a successful day of Crappie fishing. He taught me how to fish and I have enjoyed it ever since. I lost my father in March of 1997. I miss him dearly. Not too many days go by that I don't think of him. He was the perfect example of a father and man. I wish I could be more like him. When he passed away, I wrote a little something that my Pastor decided to read at the funeral.

A MAN I ONCE KNEW!

Let me tell you about a man that I once knew. A man that had a great influence in my life. A man that I was proud to know. One that has set a great example for me and will remain in my heart forever. This man was the most generous, honorable, patient, caring and forgiving man I have ever met. He led me to strive to be like him strictly by example. When my temper was short, he helped me to be understanding and be patient. When my family was going through tough times, he was there to smooth things out, always being level headed and generous in his love. I remember him showing me how to fish and wondering if I would ever be as patient as he. I also saw him work his fingers to the bone and accept more stress than I could ever handle. He was a success in life. Seen as a great person by his family, friends, and his grandchildren. This man was known by many. It seemed as though wherever we would go, people knew and liked him. This man was so kind that children would sense it. I remember him taking crying babies into his arms and seeing the children become so relaxed that they would stop crying almost immediately. Almost like taking all the childs' fears away, like being in a safe place. He made me feel this way also.

I love to ride off-road bikes but have kind of given up the sport in the last few years. This is a shot of me on my Honda CR125R motocross bike. I have owned many off-road bikes but most of them have been Hondas. One of my favorite off-roaders was my 1985 Honda ATC 350X. It was equipped with Mitchell racing wheels and Armstrong Super Turf Racer tires. It was a sliding machine.

At the request of many of my online friends, here are some pictures of my bachelor pad.
