This page is dedicated to the very unique 1991 GMC Syclone! The Syclone is unique in that it was the only true ultra sports truck that has ever been produced. It came from the factory capable of running 4.6 second 60 MPH times and 13.6 second 1/4 mile drag times. It utilyzes a 4.3 liter Vortec V6 engine. Turbocharging and liquid to air intercooling allow the 4.3 engine to produce 280 horsepower and an astonishing 360 pound feet of torque. Power was transmitted to the ground via a 700R4 4 speed automatic. The power was easily applied to the ground with the use of an all wheel drive system.

Here is a picture of Syclone #2 on the chasis dyno. I was totally amazed at the numbers. That computes to over 350 horses at the motor and who only knows, how much torque.
